Social Justice Day Assembly at Lowell School

Social Justice Day Assembly at Lowell School

Washington DC

We are deeply grateful to Thu Nguyen for inspiring our students on Social Justice Day. Through her heartfelt stories and vibrant art, Thu helped our young learners explore big ideas like activism and identity in ways that were engaging, accessible, while sparking joy and curiosity.

I spoke to 150 K-5 students about my work as an art activist, and what it means to do art in support of community activism. I then spoke to two Primary classes, sharing my painting and poetry with them.
